Queen Creek Makes History
Today!
Nov. 4, 2008
Today will be the largest
turn out Queen Creek has ever seen at the polls. With the
growing community comes more voters. But to top it off,
they are reporting a 80% turn out of registered voters
today. That will make this record a long standing
one.
The turn out today is credited to the hot topic on the
ballot of Same Sex Marriage.
Proponents are making a move due to recent court
rulings in other states that have changed the current marital
laws. Those opposing prop 102 are upset because they
feel that this is a rehash of a proposition they voted on last
election. But either way, it will take quite a
crowd to pass this proposition. This proposition is most
have a yes from the majority of the registered voters. Not just
a majority vote. Meaning that they have to hit a
certain number of yes votes. With the high turn out
this may be possible, but nothing is for sure yet, and we
can't expect a final say until tomorrow.
As for the next US president, the results are favoring
Obama. With a struggling economy it seems that Obama
has won over the hopes of more government support to
aid the little people that are suffering. But the
future holds the answers as to what will really happen and
if either president can deliver.
